Health System Strengthening II: Enhancing Health Service Quality through Continuous Education in Yemen 2019 – 2022

This project aimed to improve the quality of health services in Yemen.  Initiated as a voluntary contribution from the German-Yemeni Doctors Association (DJÄV), the project sought to strengthen collaboration between DJÄV and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

 

Project Objectives

  1. Improve the quality of health services in Yemen by enhancing the knowledge and skills of health workers through continuous education.
  2. Foster collaboration between DJAV and GIZ in supporting sustainable health system development.
  3. Promote a culture of lifelong learning within the Yemeni health workforce to ensure service quality and resilience.

Key Activities

  1. Develop and Deliver Online Learning Modules: Remote training options to reach health workers in underserved and conflict-affected areas.
  2. Facilitate Exchange of Knowledge and Best Practices: Sharing experiences and clinical updates between German and Yemeni health professionals.
