Provision of Health Service through Surgical Campaign (continued since 2011)

This project aims to increase access to essential surgical services for vulnerable populations in Yemen through the organization of targeted surgical campaigns. Due to prolonged conflict and limited healthcare infrastructure, many individuals suffer from untreated surgical conditions, leading to preventable disability and suffering.

The project mobilizes volunteer medical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to deliver on-site surgical care in underserved regions. It also supports the provision of necessary medical supplies and post-operative care to ensure quality outcomes. In addition to direct service delivery, the campaign contributes to knowledge exchange and clinical mentoring for local health staff.

Key Objectives:

  • Provide life-saving and disability-preventing surgical interventions in high-need areas.
  • Reduce the backlog of untreated surgical cases caused by service disruptions.
  • Enhance the skills of local health workers through joint clinical practice and training.
